Meet the CEO and Founder
Tynisha Coleman is the Founder and CEO of Exalt Consulting, a coaching and development organization dedicated to bringing out the best in leaders. Exalt Consulting provides leadership, professional development, and coaching services to private, public, and nonprofit organizations teams with an inclusive lens.

Tynisha brings her executive, diversity, and inclusion background to leverage solutions that increase a leader’s ability to communicate more effectively, a vital tool in navigating today’s business complexities. She is solutions-focused and believes “problems can be solved through thoughtful decisions and tough conversations.”

As a higher education executive at Rutgers University, she has experience working in government and non-profits in community economic development, neighborhood revitalization, and sustainability.
​
She has coached at all organizational levels. She believes in people and deeply understands how to help others learn and become solutions focused. People matter to Tynisha, and she demonstrates this regularly by using her skills in conflict management, interpersonal communications, and building environments to foster inclusion. Her coaching style lets people learn to identify what is blocking their success and limiting their overall potential. She is an empathic coach who listens deeply to understand and help a leader reach their potential and creates alignment between the client and the organization.

Tynisha is a diversity and Inclusion teacher and certified DiSC facilitator who has coached and developed leaders and professionals in various industries, including higher education, banking, and insurance. She developed mentoring and leadership development programs and, most recently, designed and facilitated a peer coaching program to advance employee and organization goals. Key skills include diversity and inclusion, conflict management, leading with confidence, performance management, communication clarity, and bringing out the best in teams.

Tynisha is an Associate Certified Coach through the International Coach Federation (ICF) and an Accelerating Coaching Excellence Enhanced Practitioner. She also holds a Leadership Coaching for Organizational Performance certification from Rutgers University and an Inclusive and Ethical Leadership certificate from the University of South Florida Mum College of Business. Tynisha has a master’s degree in city and regional planning and a bachelor’s degree in urban studies, both from Rutgers University. And she received a certificate from the Leadership Academy at Rutgers.

Tynisha lives in New Jersey with her daughter. She spends many hours volunteering in her community and is an avid reader.
